"Misunderstood and Misapplied"
Description
This sermon explores the often-misunderstood verse, Jeremiah 29:11, and places it in its proper biblical context. Many interpret this verse as a promise of personal prosperity and protection from hardship, but the true message is much deeper. Jeremiah wrote these words to exiles in Babylon who were enduring the consequences of their disobedience to God. Though facing judgment, God reminded them of His faithfulness, promising restoration after 70 years of exile. This assurance was given not to eliminate their present suffering but to provide hope for the future and encourage faithfulness in the present.
