First Presbyterian Church

This sermon begins a new series on the Book of Acts, exploring how Jesus’ ministry continued through the apostles by the power of the Holy Spirit. We examine the opening chapter, where Jesus ascends to the Father, commissions His disciples, and promises the coming of the Spirit. As believers today, we share in this mission—to be witnesses of Christ to the world. Rather than passively waiting for His return, we are called to actively share the good news. Just as the early church was empowered, we too are strengthened by the Holy Spirit to proclaim salvation through Jesus Christ.
